SK Telecom offers Southeast Asia and Japan discount promotions for peak vacation season.

SKT models are introducing the ‘global travel’ promotion. SK Telecom announced on the 1st that they will be offering a ‘global travel’ promotion where customers can receive discounts on local restaurants, shopping, and more through T membership in destinations such as Thailand, Vietnam, and Japan until the end of next month. In addition to Southeast Asian regions this month, SK Telecom will also provide various benefits for travelers in Japan in September. Customers can enjoy additional discounts in Southeast Asia on top of the regular benefits in August. Popular local restaurant ‘Northeast’ in Bangkok, Thailand is offering a 50% discount on their popular menu item ‘Garlic Fried Shrimp’ through a partnership with SK Telecom. ‘Gain,’ a restaurant in Da Nang, Vietnam, is offering complimentary dessert. Customers can also receive T membership benefits in Guam and Saipan. In Guam, customers can get a 20% discount on the ‘Dolphin Cruise’ activity ticket and enjoy promotions like 1+1 on signature pizzas at the restaurant ‘Piaggio.’ The restaurant ‘Olive Garden’ offers a free ‘Tour of Italy’ menu. In Saipan, customers can enjoy a 50% discount on T-bone steak at ‘Coco Restaurant’ and LA Galbi at ‘Cheonggiwa.’ In September, T membership will provide discounts on dining and shopping at popular travel destinations in Japan such as Osaka and Fukuoka. SK Telecom customers can continue to enjoy regular discounts after the promotions end in August and September. Guam’s ‘Piaggio’ and ‘Olive Garden’ offer a 15% discount on signature menus, while Vietnam Da Nang’s ‘Gain’ provides a 10% regular discount. To receive local T membership benefits, customers can simply turn on the T membership app and present the barcode when ordering or paying at partner locations. Yoon Jae-woong, SK Telecom’s MNO AI Service Manager, stated, “T Membership ‘Global Travel’ is a service that allows customers to easily receive discounts even while overseas,” and added, “This year, it is particularly significant as it is the first promotion in Japan, which is the most visited country by Koreans.”
