Naver Webtoon announced on the 2nd that it will be launching a new campaign called “Ultimate New Releases,” focusing on highlighting promising new works on its web novel, webtoon, and book platform, Naver Series.
The first work featured in the “Ultimate New Releases” campaign is the new web novel “Urban Wanderer Reload” by writer Ganjangjang, famous for “Master Tutor Baek Sabu,” which has accumulated over 100 million downloads. This work has garnered attention by placing at the top of the new release rankings and was selected as the first entry for the “Ultimate New Releases” campaign.
“Urban Wanderer Reload” tells the story of a protagonist born with a physique unable to form the energy core essential for martial prowess. After undergoing illegal “artificial energy core” surgery and time traveling, he challenges the world’s strongest once again.
Mu-hyuk, once regarded as a genius, is diagnosed as “unsuitable for martial arts” at the age of nineteen and loses his parents. He gains power through illegal “artificial energy core” surgery but loses one eye and lives as a wanderer. Twenty years later, at the brink of death, a sorcerer named Manbakja sends him back to the past, where he challenges the world’s strongest once more.

The “Ultimate New Releases” project selects and recommends promising works with both artistic value and mass appeal from a pool of new serializations. Naver Series will conduct the campaign from the 2nd to the 22nd for three weeks, expanding the number of free viewing episodes from the existing 25 to 50.
