(Ulsan=News1) Reporter Kim Ji-hye = On the 23rd, Ulsan City announced that it will actively launch the “2025 Lifelong Education Usage Support Project” to bridge educational gaps and ensure lifelong learning rights for its citizens.
Ulsan City will prioritize receiving initial applications from low-income adults (basic livelihood beneficiaries and the second-lowest income bracket aged 19 and older) and registered disabled individuals.
Applications can be submitted from April 24 to May 14 via the Lifelong Education Usage website and the Government 24 portal.
The selection of eligible applicants will be finalized in May, and selected learners will receive a grant of 350,000 won, which can be used for tuition fees and textbook costs for lifelong education courses.
Various courses such as certification acquisition, entrepreneurship, language, humanities, and artificial intelligence (AI) and digital fields can be taken at vocational training facilities, lifelong education centers, and lifelong vocational education academies. Participating institutions can be checked on the Lifelong Education Usage website.
A city official stated, “We aim to guarantee learning opportunities across all aspects of citizens’ lives and practically expand educational rights for socially disadvantaged groups.”
Ulsan City plans to expand the project to various groups in the future, including seniors over 65, individuals aged 30 and older interested in digital lifelong education, and those with regional specialties.
