“Will It Sell Out Again?”…G-Dragon’s Beer Launches at Convenience Stores

GS25 to Release ‘Daisy Ale’ Beer
Official Launch on the 11th of Next Month

Convenience store GS25 has announced a collaboration with singer G-Dragon to introduce a new beer.

On the 24th, GS25 revealed that it will exclusively launch ‘Daisy Ale’, created in collaboration with G-Dragon’s fashion brand ‘PEACEMINUSONE’ and the Japanese beer brand ‘Hitachino Nest’.

The key theme of this product is ‘Daisy’, a symbol of G-Dragon. The company explained that meticulous efforts were made in everything from the recipe to the packaging to infuse the product with the symbolism and emotion of the daisy.

Using pilsner malt and cara-pils malt, the beer achieves a light and refreshing taste, enhanced by fruity notes such as orange for a vibrant flavor profile. The alcohol content of the product is 4.8%, and its official release is on the 11th of the next month.

Ahead of the product launch, GS25 has organized various promotions. From the 26th to the 28th, the ‘Wine25Plus’ section within the ‘Our Neighborhood GS’ application will offer 888 sets of the product for pre-order sale each day. From December 4th to the 9th, pop-up stores will be set up at three locations, including GS25 Cheong Wa Space, Busan Square, and DXLAB, to host tasting events and introduce limited edition packaging. The price is set at 4,500 KRW per can, with a discount to 12,000 KRW for three cans.

The company expects this collaboration to establish the product as a popular item in the beer market. An Jae-sung, MD of the Alcohol Team at GS Retail, stated, “We anticipate it will gain popularity as a year-end date, party, and gift option, and we will strive to make it a long-standing steady seller.”
