Relief for Loan-Halted Members, Reading Club Capacity Building, One-Day Class, and More
The Dangjin Public Library in Chungnam has announced, on September 1, that it will hold a variety of cultural events throughout September in celebration of ‘Reading Month’ across its 15 library locations (3 public libraries and 12 small libraries).
The main events include △ a relief service for members with halted book loans △ special lectures to enhance reading club capacities △ one-day class (making fall rattan baskets) △ fortune cookies with reading quotes △ meeting with a picture book author (author Jaehee), among others.
In particular, a ‘Reading Club Capacity Building Special Lecture’ will be held on the 10th at the Central Library’s ‘Loud and Lively Speaking Library,’ where both reading club members and interested citizens can learn about forming and operating reading clubs.
Registration is available on Dangjin’s lifelong learning integrated platform ‘Baeumnaru’, and further details can be found on the public library’s website.
A representative from Dangjin Public Library commented, “We hope more citizens visit the library and share the joy of reading this Reading Month,” adding, “We will continue to strive for the expansion of reading culture.”
