It has been confirmed that former President Yoon Seok-yul received over 270 million won in funds while being detained at the Seoul Detention Center since last July.
According to data from the Ministry of Justice, received through the Democratic Party lawmaker Park Kyun-taek’s office, former President Yoon received a total of 276.9 million won in funds over 49 days from July 9 to August 26.
Previously, Yoon’s representatives, including lawyer Kim Gaeri and Mr. Jeon Han-gil, had shared on social media that “The President entered with not a single penny, unable to purchase anything,” and posted the account number for deposit.
Additionally, the personal limit for funds is 4 million won, but former President Yoon transferred funds to an external account 73 times whenever he neared the limit.
