Sejong Networks Launches AI-Based Safety Net Service ‘Sejong All Care’ for Isolated Households

Sejong Networks has launched a safety net service called ‘Sejong All-care’ aimed at socially isolated households, according to a February 10 report. This service enhances existing AI-based care call services by integrating continuous monitoring features and an emergency response service through a dedicated app, All-care.

The All-care app is installed on the phones of individuals who require monitoring, such as seniors living alone, elderly people with mild cognitive impairments, and other vulnerable groups. It tracks various data points, such as call history, screen time, and phone charging activity, to detect the daily activities of the users. Local government officials can monitor these individuals in real-time through the All-care system.

If there is no activity detected or a crisis is suspected, the Clova Care Call will automatically make a welfare check call, followed by an on-site visit to ensure the safety of the individual. Depending on the situation, the service can also notify emergency services or local authorities.

The All-care app was developed in conjunction with insurtech company Grade Health Chain, with an Android version released first considering the main target demographic. Last July, Sejong Networks signed an agreement with Grade Health Chain to utilize mobile log information for personalized care and to prevent and manage solitary deaths. In the future, they intend to use Grade Health Chain’s LOG app to check for serious health conditions based on gender, age, health check records, and prescription records, offering customized AI services accordingly.

Hyo-sang Kang, the Vice President of Sejong Networks’ Telecommunications Business Division, explained that as the senior population facing social isolation due to a reduction in social network size and decreased physical activity grows rapidly, Sejong All-care aims to manage them more systematically and proactively by linking AI and data. He also noted that this would aid public officials responsible for care management and supervision.
