Nexon, Turning 30, Attracts Visitors with ‘Dungeon Fighter Universe’ [G-Star 2024]

Nexon celebrates its 30th anniversary by participating in ‘G-Star 2024’ at BEXCO, Busan, with a significant presence featuring 300 booths focused on game demonstrations, allowing visitors to experience the unique fun rooted in Nexon’s 30-year history. The company showcases four playable titles at this event: ‘Superbibe,’ ‘Project Overkill,’ ‘First Berserker: Kazan,’ and ‘Hwansechwihojeon Online.’ Additionally, a new trailer for the PvPvE survival shooter ‘Arc Raiders’ is presented.

**Expansion of the ‘Dungeon & Fighter Universe’: ‘Kazan’ and ‘Overkill’**

‘Kazan,’ which attracted a lot of attention at Germany’s ‘Gamescom 2024’ in August, continues to garner interest at ‘G-Star 2024.’ This PC and console single-player game is based on the ‘Dungeon & Fighter’ IP’s multiverse and is designed to maximize action and impact. The game showcases a unique 3D cel-animation style that catches the eye. Attendees could experience the early stages, like the ‘Heinkarh’ region, and boss battles against ‘Volveino’ and ‘Langurs.’

Similarly, ‘Overkill’ brings nostalgic feelings of the past ‘Dungeon & Fighter.’ Developed as a 3D action RPG for PC and mobile cross-platform play, ‘Overkill’ takes place 14 years before the original story, allowing players to experience the Arad universe alongside original characters. The game features multiple perspectives, such as side-scrolling and top-down views, adapting to various battlefield situations. The animated cutscenes and full voice acting enhance the immersion, blending seamlessly into 3D gameplay.

**New and Classic IPs: ‘Superbibe’ and ‘Hwansechwihojeon Online’**

‘Superbibe’ combines MOBA and battle royale gameplay, drawing significant attention despite being a new IP. The game requires strategic play using auditory and visual cues within a progressively shrinking map. It encourages teamwork and strategic map exploration to gather necessary resources and survive.

‘Hwansechwihojeon Online,’ a reinterpretation of a classic IP into a mobile MMORPG, is developed by Supercat, known for ‘The Kingdom of the Winds: Yeon.’ The demo brings back characters like ‘Ataho,’ ‘Linshang,’ and ‘Smashu’ with modern twists, providing nostalgic moments and engaging boss battles like against the ‘Dead Dragon.’ Mini-games such as ‘Dumpling Eating,’ ‘Beer Drinking,’ and ‘Train Wrecking’ deliver whimsical fun unique to the ‘Hwansechwihojeon’ universe. This title aims to stir nostalgia in those familiar with the original while offering fresh MMORPG experiences to new players.
