Nexon Games is intensifying recruitment of development personnel to enhance the development capabilities of ‘First Descendants,’ a route shooter game, for live services and other developments. The recruitment will focus on Magnum Studio’s development workforce. Various positions are available, including programming (client, server, engine), development project management, game planning, background modeling, background illustration, cinematic direction, animation, effects, lighting artist, character modeling, character illustration, and more. There are no restrictions on education or age for applicants as long as they possess the required skills for each position.
A dedicated microsite for Magnum Studio developer recruitment has been opened, providing information about ‘First Descendants,’ job postings, FAQ, application pages, and more. The recruitment process includes document screening, pre-tests (for some positions), and interviews, with some positions requiring additional tasks. The recruitment drive will take place throughout 2024 and 2025.
Magnum Studio’s PD Lee Beom-jun stated that this intensive recruitment is aimed at enhancing the live service capabilities of ‘First Descendants’ and providing a better gameplay experience. ‘First Descendants’ is a high-quality route shooter game known for its stunning visuals and gun-based combat, featuring cooperative shooting (CO-OP) and expanding user experiences through RPG gameplay.
Immediately after its launch, the game recorded 220,000 concurrent players on the Steam platform (PC), ranking fifth in terms of most-played games and topping global sales charts.
