NC AI, Selected as the Leading Organization for ‘K-Content Innovation Leading Project’ [AI Pick]

Domestic Content and Technology Companies Collaborate to Develop AI-Driven K-POP Production Model

On September 24th, it was announced that NC AI, an artificial intelligence (AI) subsidiary of NCSOFT, has been selected as the lead institution for the ‘2025 K-Content AI Innovation Leading Project’ organized by the Korea Creative Content Agency.

This project, with a total budget of 10 billion KRW, was established to support the construction of a content industry ecosystem where competitive large enterprises and small to medium-sized companies collaborate in a new industry sector that combines the cultural industry with AI.

For this project, NC AI has formed a ‘K-Content AI Alliance’ in collaboration with domestic content and technology companies like Imaginus, YN Culture & Space, Studio Ion, Oasis Studio, and Mongyu. The alliance will cover the entire cycle of planning, production, and distribution.

Through this project, NC AI aims to develop an innovative K-POP production format using AI technology, develop a virtual artist intellectual property (IP) package, and establish an AI ecosystem that encourages fan participation.

Specifically, by implementing a proactive One Source Multi Use (OSMU) model, they plan to produce integrated assets optimized for various business expansion fields like games, merchandise design (MD), and virtual concerts right from the content planning stage, significantly speeding up market response.

NC AI aims to spread the developed format as a global standard, evolving into a global technology and platform company supplying next-generation content production technology.

Kim Min-jae, CTO of NC AI, stated, “Going beyond merely applying AI technology to content, this innovative attempt to merge Korea’s cultural heritage with cutting-edge AI technology will create new cultural content that resonates with people worldwide, presenting a new paradigm where K-content leads the global cultural industry.”
