KT to Participate in MWC 2025… Showcasing AI Technology Expertise

[Financial News] KT announced on the 23rd that it will participate in the world’s largest mobile communication exhibition, ‘Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025’, to be held in Barcelona, Spain, from March 3rd to 6th.

The theme of the KT exhibition is ‘K-STREET’. Visitors will experience a unique fusion of everyday life with artificial intelligence (AI) technology, reminiscent of walking down South Korean streets.

The KT exhibition area will be located in the ‘Connected Industry’ pavilion within Hall 4, the main exhibition space of MWC 2025. This exhibit will span 383 square meters, a 1.7-fold increase from last year. KT plans to showcase seven themed spaces combining K-culture and AI, highlighting South Korea’s advanced technology and culture to international visitors.

The ‘K-Office’, inspired by KT’s Gwanghwamun Building West (WEST), will unveil an AI agent solution using K-AI models to increase work efficiency. Visitors can experience various features, such as wireless market competition analysis, efficient allocation of graphics processing units (GPUs), carbon emission monitoring, and customer service knowledge recommendations.

In the ‘K-Stadium’, a future arena concept space, KT DS, a subsidiary of KT, will showcase an AI-powered stadium announcer featuring real-time translation technology. Visitors can also see a welcome message produced using the movements and voice of national football player Lee Kang-in, optimized by AI. A space to enjoy a personalized cheering song of KT Wiz created by AI will also be available.

The ‘K-Lab’ space, presenting future network technology, will exhibit KT’s vision for its network. Visitors can experience ‘multimodal communication’, a futuristic call service where AI understands intentions and contexts to provide immersive (all-sensory) communication beyond traditional voice and video calls.

Technologies for creating safe streets will also be demonstrated. These include the 5G precise positioning technology ‘EL SAR’, along with various security technologies that block smishing and spam, and AI-based video analysis solutions. A space to introduce the AI technology of partner company Movewheel is also prepared. The KT AI and Information Communication Technology (AICT) collaboration booth will be set up in Hall 8, showcasing AICT technologies from KT’s partner startups.
