Call Recording to Text Auto-Conversion… Samsung Releases Galaxy UI Beta Version

“In the future, in the Galaxy S24 series, call recordings will automatically be converted into text. This feature is expected to be applied to other Galaxy smartphones as well.”

“Samsung Electronics announced on the 6th that it began operating the beta program for ‘One UI 7’ with next-generation ‘Galaxy Artificial Intelligence (AI)’ from the previous day. One UI is a user interface based on Android that Samsung Electronics has created for Galaxy devices. The current beta version is targeted at users of the Galaxy S24 series (S24 Ultra, S24+, S24), and they can experience it by signing up through the ‘Samsung Members’ app.”

“In the beta version, call recordings are automatically converted to text. Previously, users had to press the text conversion button separately in the ‘Voice Recording’ app and wait a few seconds, but now this process is no longer necessary. As long as the user enables the feature in settings, text is automatically generated after the call ends.”

“The text editing function based on generative artificial intelligence will also be significantly enhanced. Functions such as text summarization and checks for spelling and grammar, which were previously supported per app, will be expanded across the device. Previously, the interface and types of supported functions varied slightly among apps like messages or emails and browsers, but it’s explained that going forward, the same functions can be used in the same way on any screen that contains text.”

“The improved AI features are expected to be applied to other smartphones in the future. Samsung Electronics stated that the official version of ‘One UI 7’ will first be installed on the new Galaxy S models to be launched in the first quarter of next year, and then gradually applied to previously released Galaxy devices.”
