In response to claims from opposition parties regarding the government’s ‘second martial law preparations,’ military authorities have officially confirmed that these claims are not true.
A Joint Chiefs of Staff official stated today (the 6th) while meeting with reporters, “There are no plans for a second martial law.”
A Ministry of Defense official also addressed the second martial law suspicions, saying, “You do not need to worry.”
Regarding the claims from some quarters about ‘control of commanders’ leave,’ an Army official explained, “There have been no directives from the Army Headquarters to control the leave and outings of personnel, including company commander level and above.”
They added, “We are further verifying if any measures were taken by units for heightened security or readiness.”
