Reform Party leader Lee Jun-seok emphasized, “The severance with former President Yoon Seok-yeol is a constant, not a variable,” regarding the debate within the People Power Party (PPP) over the issue of apology ahead of the first anniversary of the December 3 martial law incident.
In a Supreme Council meeting held today (1st), Leader Lee stated, “The PPP should quickly sort out its relationship with the former President Yoon and end the low-level hegemony struggles within the party.”
He also criticized the PPP’s Party Affairs Committee’s investigation into the ‘party members’ board controversy’, in which allegations of involvement by former leader Han Dong-hoon’s family have been raised, saying it is “deplorable.”
Leader Lee added, “Even if there are some flaws, those who clearly opposed martial law made the right choice in the grand scheme of things.”
