Starting from the 8th of next month, ‘Seokjojeon at Deoksugung at Night’… A lottery system will be introduced this year.

The “Deoksugung Night at the Seokjojeon Hall” event was first introduced in 2021 and is organized as a night tour program of Deoksugung Palace’s Seokjojeon Hall. It includes a guided tour with a professional commentator, a terrace café experience, and a creative musical performance depicting stories from the Korean Empire period.

Participants can enjoy a tour inside Seokjojeon Hall with a professional guide and then relax on the 2nd-floor terrace with classical string performances, refreshments, and nighttime views. This year’s terrace experience offers an expanded selection of refreshments, including three types of cakes: pound cake, financiers, and sablés. Participants can choose from four types of beverages: hot coffee, iced coffee, mulberry tea, and hot citrus tea.

Following this, a creative musical performance set against the backdrop of the Korean Empire’s imperial family will take place in Seokjojeon Hall’s 1st-floor reception room. After the performance, attendees can take photos with a photo printing machine and receive souvenirs.

This year, to provide fairer access to a larger number of participants, the event will adopt a lottery system for participant selection. Entrants can apply and make reservations through Ticketlink, with a maximum of two tickets per person per draw. Each account (ID) is allowed to apply only once per program.

The application period is from March 19, 2 PM to March 25, and winners will be announced on March 27 at 2 PM. Winners can choose their desired date and time slots for reservation and payment from March 28 at 2 PM. From April 2 at 2 PM, reservations can also be made over the phone on a first-come, first-served basis by individuals over the age of 65, the disabled, and national veterans. The participation fee is 26,000 KRW per person.

During the event’s run, May 1 to May 3 will be designated for foreign participants. Foreign guests can purchase tickets through Creatrip starting from April 2 at 9 AM on a first-come, first-served basis.
