Currently, there is light rain along the East Coast and Jeju Island. This rain is expected to continue in Gyeongsang-do and Jeju Island until this afternoon, and in the East Coast regions until tonight. The expected rainfall amounts are up to 50mm in Busan, Ulsan, Gyeongnam, and Jeju Island; 10 to 40mm in Daegu and Gyeongbuk; and 5 to 20mm in Gangwon Yeongdong.
Rain is expected again across most regions of the country from tomorrow night until Saturday morning. However, the rain clouds will clear by Saturday afternoon, revealing a clear autumn sky. This morning, temperatures across most regions started more than 10 degrees higher than average. The daytime temperatures will also be higher than normal, which may feel quite warm for those with heavy activity.
However, the weather will change drastically starting next week. After the rain on Saturday, the morning temperature in Seoul will drop dramatically to single digits, becoming very chilly. Today, there will be many clouds across the country. Daytime temperatures will rise to 23 degrees in Seoul, Wonju, and Daejeon, 27 in Gwangju, 24 in Busan, and 26 in Jeju. From this afternoon, strong winds will cause waves to increase to 2.5 meters in the far southern seas of Namhae and near Jeju Island, and the southern part of the East Sea. There may be high swells powerful enough to overflow breakwaters or rocks, particularly along the East Coast.
