GM Korea’s sales in January amounted to 31,618 units, a sharp decline of 26.8% compared to the previous year.

GM Korea’s sales shrank last month.

The company announced on the 3rd that it sold 31,618 units in the global market last month, a 26.8% decrease compared to the same period last year.

Domestic sales, in particular, plummeted by about 57.5% to 1,229 units compared to the same period last year. By model, the Chevrolet Trax Crossover sold 953 units, the Trailblazer 199, the Traverse 39, and the Tahoe 14. Overseas sales recorded 30,389 units, a 24.6% decline from the same period last year.

Gustavo Colossi, Vice President of Sales, Service, and Marketing at GM Korea, stated, “Despite the seasonal off-peak period and fewer business days due to the Lunar New Year holiday, our strategic models have consistently received positive responses from customers domestically and internationally.” He added, “In February, we plan to actively expand our marketing activities with various purchase benefits, such as interest-free installments, to further broaden our reach with consumers.”
