Former NewJeans member Danielle, who recently received notification from her agency ADOR about the termination of her exclusive contract and is currently embroiled in a legal battle over damages with ADOR, shared her position through a social media live broadcast on the 7th.
Danielle stated, “I’ve fought to the end to be with the members” and added, “NewJeans is always in a special place in my heart. This is not the end, but a beginning.”
Danielle communicated directly with domestic and international fans about her recent updates and well-being through her personal Instagram and YouTube. This marks the first time Danielle has expressed her stance following the termination of her exclusive contract. The broadcast lasted about nine minutes.
However, Danielle refrained from commenting on the ongoing lawsuit. She mentioned, “Many things are being resolved now,” and promised to “update everyone on the lawsuit and other questions when the time is right.”
Previously, Danielle, who had been in a dispute with ADOR over the validity of her exclusive contract, expressed her intention to return to the agency after losing the lawsuit regarding the contract’s validity. However, ADOR notified her of the contract termination last month. ADOR has filed a lawsuit claiming damages amounting to approximately 43 billion Korean won against Danielle, her family, and Min Hee-jin, the former CEO of ADOR.
