“Racism” Claim by Soyou: Seen Intoxicated on a Plane… Witnesses Speak Up

Sistar’s Soyou has come under scrutiny after revealing that she experienced racial discrimination on a flight from the U.S. to Korea. According to her account, after completing her schedule in New York, she boarded a flight to Korea via Atlanta and simply asked a Korean flight attendant to confirm the meal time due to her fatigue. She claimed that instead of assisting her, the flight attendant judged her demeanor, treated her as a problematic passenger, and even summoned security.

Soyou stated that she had to assure “if I’m a problem, I’ll get off the plane,” and endured cold stares and attitudes throughout the flight. This led her to question if this was racial discrimination. Furthermore, she mentioned that she couldn’t eat for over 15 hours during the flight, which left her feeling deeply hurt by what she perceived as racial bias. She expressed her wish that no one should be suspected or humiliated because of their race.

The airline involved is reportedly a U.S. airline identified as D Airlines, and Soyou shared her ticket to emphasize her concern. In the midst of this, an individual claiming to be a fellow passenger on the same flight offered a different account. According to this person’s testimony, Soyou appeared intoxicated and initially declined food because she was tired. The individual also mentioned hearing staff say passengers shouldn’t board the plane if they are drunk. They further detailed that after Soyou requested assistance from a Korean attendant, there was no security incident, and they felt embarrassed by the claims of racial discrimination as both a Korean and a fan.

While the authenticity of this witness account has not been confirmed, it has sparked a range of opinions from the public.
