Kim Min-hee naturally conceived Hong Sang-soo’s child. They found out about the pregnancy last summer. She is currently in the later stages of pregnancy and is expected to give birth this spring.

Kim Min-hee and Hong Sang-soo currently reside in Hanam, Gyeonggi Province. Director Hong moved out of his former Apgujeong residence, where he lived with his wife, and got a new home in Hanam, where Kim Min-hee’s parents live.

‘Dispatch’ caught glimpses of Kim Min-hee and Hong Sang-soo’s daily lives at the end of last year. They enjoyed dining at popular restaurants in Seoul and went grocery shopping at a nearby mart in Hanam.

Kim Min-hee drove the car herself, with Hong Sang-soo sitting in the passenger seat. Hong Sang-soo has recently started driving lessons again, seemingly in preparation for after Kim Min-hee gives birth.

On the 15th, the couple also visited an obstetrics and gynecology clinic together. From pregnancy confirmation to tests and check-ups, Hong Sang-soo accompanied her, unconcerned about the attention from others.

Kim Min-hee and Hong Sang-soo have been in an inappropriate relationship for nine years. They met in 2015 on the film ‘Right Now, Wrong Then’ and acknowledged their affair in 2017.

Hong Sang-soo is a married man. He married Ms. A, whom he met during his studies in the U.S., in 1985. They have one daughter. He has left his family and has been living with Kim Min-hee for nine years.

The child Kim Min-hee is pregnant with will be registered as an illegitimate child in Hong Sang-soo’s family registry. However, Ms. A will be registered as the child’s mother. Kim Min-hee could also choose to register the child solely under her own name.

Meanwhile, Kim Min-hee has been appearing only in Hong Sang-soo’s works since the scandal. She has been in 13 films, including ‘The Day After,’ ‘Hotel by the River,’ ‘The Woman Who Ran,’ ‘Our Day,’ ‘The Need of a Traveler,’ and ‘Suyuchen.’
