On the 5th, Jin Tae-hyun posted a long message along with New Year’s greetings on his social media.
He began by saying, “I hope the new year is filled with peace. I often hear people ask, ‘How are you? How have you been?’ Time has passed, and the two of us are growing in love and becoming a stronger couple day by day.”
He continued, “For those of you who see us, we’ve appeared on broadcasts, engaged in small-scale YouTube activities, participated in marathon training, and are living a healthy and active life.”
Jin Tae-hyun shared, “The grateful news you haven’t seen is that we have wonderful adopted daughters,” introducing them as a new part of their family.
He described the two daughters as an elite marathon runner from Gyeonggi Province and an aspiring nurse preparing to start her career in Jeju Island.
He added, “One has been with us since last year, while the other has been with us from a long time ago at an orphanage,” saying that each child is striving in their own life journey, and he and his wife are committed to filling in the gaps with love, sharing their lives based on the belief in God.
Jin Tae-hyun expressed, “I am thankful that we can be a couple who can provide even a small amount of attention to others. We look forward to the stories we’ll create as a family in 2025 and hope our family will continue to grow.”
As soon as the adoption news was shared, it became a hot topic, and Jin Tae-hyun reiterated his stance.
He said, “Hello, this is Jin Tae-hyun. It is true that we have daughters who call us mom and dad and live with us. However, the legal adoption has not yet been completed. Due to circumstances, some cannot go through the legal process, so for now, we are all living as a family. Please keep them in your thoughts with kindness.”
Meanwhile, Jin Tae-hyun and Park Si-eun got married in 2015 and have an openly adopted college student daughter. In 2022, the couple shared the news of a pregnancy but unfortunately suffered a miscarriage 20 days before the due date, causing sadness.
