Choi Jung-won, who is associated with the UN, is currently facing a reopened lawsuit for damages related to an extramarital affair. It has been confirmed that in a prior divorce case, the court acknowledged an affair between Choi and the other involved party, identified as A.
On the 4th of last month, the 3rd Division of the Seoul Family Court ruled in a divorce lawsuit filed by A against her husband, B, that “during the marriage, the plaintiff (A) lied about meeting another friend and met with Choi Jung-won to have brunch in Apgujeong on May 15, 2022. Furthermore, she lied about attending a company dinner and met with Choi in Han River Park on May 27, 2022, where they drank wine together and engaged in physical contact such as holding hands or linking arms.”
Additionally, the court noted that “A spent time alone at Choi’s house and, after telling her husband she was going out with their son, left the son at a game arcade alone on June 18, 2022, to meet Choi and exercise with him, during which they also dated and committed further misconduct. Around June of that year, the defendant (B) learned of these affairs, which exacerbated the conflict between the plaintiff and the defendant.”
