JTBC announcer-turned-broadcaster Jang Sung-kyu has closed the comments section on his social media service (SNS) after facing criticism for allegedly condoning workplace harassment involving the late MBC weathercaster Oh Yohan-na.
According to recently released materials from the family of Oh Yohan-na, who passed away last September, an MBC colleague sent a message to MBC weathercaster Lee Hyun-seung saying, “Oh Yohan-na told Jang Sung-kyu that she felt isolated in the weather team at work.” To this, Lee Hyun-seung reportedly replied, “Crazy.”
The colleague then mentioned, “So (Jang Sung-kyu) asked me what was going on,” to which Lee Hyun-seung responded, “Think about your own actions and thoughts.”
