An influencer who visited a client’s clothing store as a customer befriended the client and persistently suggested investing 30 million KRW, promising a return of 1 million KRW in interest after two weeks. The client’s total loss from investment and loans amounted to more than 480 million KRW after succumbing to the persuasions.

However, the man who was supposed to be a businessman from a pub was actually married and involved in an affair with the influencer, and all the stock accounts were transferred to him, leaving nothing behind. Upon learning all of his wife’s secrets, the client sued the wife and the tax advisor for damages and filed a lawsuit for the affair and fraud charges, ultimately leading to the tax advisor losing his certification.
