Gu Jun-yeop signed a prenuptial agreement before marrying the late Seo Hee-won, transferring a luxury mansion worth 16 billion won to his mother-in-law.

According to a report by Baek Ji-eun from Sports Chosun, it was revealed that Clon’s Gu Jun-yeop had a prenuptial agreement with the late Seo Hee-won. Taiwanese media ET Today reported on the 10th that Gu Jun-yeop and Seo Hee-won agreed on the separation of assets before marriage and transferred a large mansion located on the site of the National Art Museum to Seo Hee-won’s mother.

However, the media noted that since the agreement was not notarized in court, it might be considered null, thus allowing Gu Jun-yeop to inherit Seo Hee-won’s estate.

Gu Jun-yeop and Seo Hee-won married in 2022. The two were previously in a relationship for about a year in 1998, and they reunited after Gu Jun-yeop reached out upon hearing about Seo Hee-won’s 2021 divorce from Wang Xiaofei.

Unfortunately, Seo Hee-won passed away on the 2nd due to acute pneumonia while on a trip to Japan. Seo Hee-won reportedly left behind real estate valued at around 25 billion won, an annual income of at least 3.5 billion won, and assets acquired from her divorce settlement, totaling approximately 120 billion won.

If Seo Hee-won did not leave a will, Gu Jun-yeop and her two children would each receive one-third of her inheritance. However, Gu Jun-yeop declared that he would pass his share to his mother-in-law and take legal measures to ensure that ‘bad people’ cannot access the rights and assets of Seo Hee-won’s young children until they reach adulthood.
