Actor Kim Soo-hyun has refuted rumors of a romantic relationship with the late Kim Sae-ron, and in response, the YouTube channel Garosero Research Institute (Gaseyeon) released a new statement.
On the afternoon of the 10th, Gaseyeon wrote on its YouTube community page, “Kim Soo-hyun seems to not know who Kim Se-yi from Garosero Research Institute is. Legal action? Even the world-famous BTS said they’d take legal action against Gaseyeon before. What was the result? They all enlisted in the military. But Kim Soo-hyun who is popular in China?”
Gaseyeon continued, “Our report was based on materials and interviews directly obtained from the bereaved family of actress Kim Sae-ron. Why don’t you try your ‘legal action’ threat with the bereaved family?”
Gaseyeon also mentioned, “There will probably be a complaint related to a minor’s sexual issues filed tomorrow. Dating a middle school sophomore? Surely there wasn’t any relationship with a minor. It seems someone will report it soon. If you covertly try to coerce or threaten the bereaved family, you’ll be found out.”
They emphasized further, “Why didn’t you, Kim Soo-hyun, attend the funeral of Kim Sae-ron, which was attended by even Won Bin? At the very least, you should have fulfilled your basic human duties.”
Previously, Garosero Research Institute uploaded a video on their YouTube channel titled “Kim Soo-hyun Led to Kim Sae-ron’s Death”. Through a phone interview with Kim Sae-ron’s family, Gaseyeon claimed that she had been in a relationship with Kim Soo-hyun since she was a minor, spanning six years, and that Gold Medalist (Kim Soo-hyun’s agency) sent a certificate of content demanding the return of 700 million won used to settle her DUI accident costs.
In response, Kim Soo-hyun’s agency, Gold Medalist, stated, “The claims made in Gaseyeon’s YouTube broadcast regarding Kim Soo-hyun today are blatantly false.” They added, “Gaseyeon accused Kim Soo-hyun and YouTuber Lee Jin-ho of collaborating to harass Kim Sae-ron, falsely claiming Kim Sae-ron dated Kim Soo-hyun from age 15, that the agency’s response to her DUI was inappropriate, and that one of our managers is acquainted with YouTuber Lee Jin-ho, among other malicious allegations.”
The agency declared, “These are false claims we cannot overlook, and we are considering the strongest possible legal measures against Gaseyeon’s dissemination of these falsehoods.”
Kim Soo-hyun’s side also expressed, “We are deeply saddened by the passing of Kim Sae-ron, who was once part of our agency, and we mourn her loss. The spread of these false claims by Gaseyeon mirrors the ‘cyber wrecking’ that deeply troubled the deceased, and is damaging not only to our company but also to the deceased’s honor, purely for their benefit. We will respond strictly to this.”
Finally, they pleaded, “We earnestly request that these baseless false claims cease to be spread or reproduced.”
