“Breakup with Koo Min-cheol” Park Ji-min opens up about the reason for their split after two months… “Regret going public with the relationship”

Appearing on YouTube channel ‘Danny Cho’… Discussing past public relationship

Singer Park Jimin (stage name Jamie) candidly shared her thoughts on her past public relationship and the reasons for the breakup.

On the 19th, a video titled “The Vocalist Who Was K-pop Star Winner Park Jimin” was released on the YouTube channel ‘Danny Cho.’

In the video, Park Jimin addressed a question about memories she’d like to erase from the internet by saying, “I had a public relationship.” She explained that in her 20s, she wanted to experience a public relationship, stating, “I always hid my relationships and only dated at home. But after leaving the company and gaining more freedom, I decided to have a public relationship because I was in my fiery 20s.”

However, she also expressed regret about having a public relationship. Park Jimin candidly shared, “But nothing was left. It just burned out. Thinking back, I regret it.”

Previously, Park Jimin announced her relationship with Goo Min Chul in November 2022, but news of their breakup became public in January the following year when she hinted at Goo Min Chul’s infidelity on social media. At that time, she attracted curiosity by posting phrases like “When you find out your boyfriend is a player” and “Did you have fun with 4-5 other women?” in English.

Indirectly addressing that time, Park Jimin said, “I got a lot of questions about whether that (the ex’s infidelity) was true,” and admitted, “Posting about it was a regretful moment. I could’ve just said we broke up coolly, but I unnecessarily explained in detail, saying things like ‘We broke up because of this, and I wish you were X,’ which wasn’t cool.”

She also emphasized, “I have no lingering feelings. I cut it off as soon as I saw (the infidelity),” showing a firm stance and added, “If I could go back, I wouldn’t have a public relationship at all.”
