Comedian Ahn Young Mi has become the center of controversy after parodying “Jeonyeoni” on SNL and uttering profanity during a live radio broadcast. Her recent SNS update is catching attention.
On the 30th, Ahn Young Mi posted a picture on her social media showing only her head placed on a basket of fruit. Her body is concealed and only her face is visible in the photo, where she is smiling brightly, but the ambiance is peculiar.

Previously, Ahn Young Mi faced criticism twice in a row, becoming the subject of controversy.
The issue first arose on the 26th with the release of the ninth episode of Coupang Play’s “SNL Korea 6,” which featured a parody of the tvN drama “Jeong Nyeoni.” Ahn Young Mi parodied the character Yoon Jeong Nyeoni, originally played by Kim Tae Ri, and appeared with the name “Jeonyeoni,” depicting the character in a vulgar manner. She emphasized her chest and made suggestive gestures, and even adapted the lyrics of a pansori (traditional Korean narrative singing) song to be explicit. The situation was worsened when Jeong I Rang added, “Just by looking at it, I feel like I could get pregnant. It seems this could help the childbirth policy.”
“Jeong Nyeoni” is set right after the Korean War in the 1950s, a period when women had low social status, and it tells the story of vocal genius Yoon Jeong Nyeoni rising to become the best Korean theater actress. Criticism poured in, claiming the parody overlooked the meaningful aspect of women pursuing dreams and self-realization, instead reducing it to mere sexual humor, tarnishing both the work and the actress’s image.
Later, on the 29th during the MBC FM4U “Ahn Young Mi’s Two O’Clock Date,” when guests Sunwoo from The Boyz and Youngjae from GOT7 appeared, Ahn Young Mi made an on-air profanity, leading to backlash.
During the broadcast, Ahn Young Mi asked the two radio DJs if they ever made verbal mistakes while live. She said, “I always make verbal mistakes. My words are so twisted that listeners tell me to read more books.”
While discussing radio hosting, Ahn Young Mi asked Sunwoo, “When fans ask ‘Do this,’ ‘Do an impression’ during a live show, what do you do?” Sunwoo replied, “I write what they want me to do on a sketchbook, and I do it during my break.”
Ahn Young Mi then blurted out “And then I turn around and say F***,” which startled Sunwoo and Youngjae. Ahn Young Mi tried to cover up by saying, “No, I meant to say shoes, shoes,” and Sunwoo responded, “If someone tells me to tie my shoelaces, I tie them.”
However, since it was a live broadcast, the profanity was aired directly, and listeners reacted coldly, saying she “crossed the line.” With the recent backlash from the “SNL Korea 6” parody of “Jeong Nyeoni,” criticism of Ahn Young Mi’s use of profanity on air is expected to grow.
