[Digital Daily Reporter Kihoon Kang] Shinhan Bank announced on the 25th that it has expanded its ‘Evening Plus’ channel, which allows for banking transactions until 8 PM, from the existing 9 locations to 20.
‘Evening Plus’ is a specialized channel that operates until 8 PM, allowing customers to conduct transactions through video consultations. It handles major transactions such as new savings and checking accounts, check cards, deposits, and notifications.
Considering that most working customers’ hours are from 9 AM to 6 PM on weekdays, Shinhan Bank analyzed various data such as the floating population in major commercial areas and office building distributions nationwide to select 11 optimal additional locations for its services.
Shinhan Bank also operates a ‘Digital Lounge’ where transactions can be conducted through video consultations until 6 PM.
Based on high customer satisfaction with Evening Plus, which operates until 8 PM, and the demand for expanded services, the bank decided to extend its offerings.
Shinhan Bank’s ‘Evening Plus’ is the only channel among commercial banks that allows major banking services to be completed at the counter until 8 PM.
Additionally, Shinhan Bank has added one more ‘Saturday Plus’ specialized channel that allows transactions through video consultations from 9 AM to 5 PM on Saturdays, expanding it to three locations. This has improved financial transaction convenience for customers who find it challenging to handle banking during weekdays.
With the addition of 11 Evening Plus and 1 Saturday Plus locations, Shinhan Bank’s ‘Digital Lounge’ operates a total of 66 locations, including 20 Evening Plus and 3 Saturday Plus.
In regular ‘Digital Lounges’, not including ‘Evening Plus’ or ‘Saturday Plus’, major banking transactions can still be processed from 9 AM to 6 PM on weekdays.
A Shinhan Bank representative stated, “We plan to continuously expand ‘Evening Plus’ and ‘Saturday Plus’ so that more customers can conveniently handle banking transactions even after business hours,” adding, “We will do our best to become an ‘Everywhere Bank’ that integrates into customers’ lives anytime, anywhere.”
