Lotte Rental is officially launching its used car retail (B2C) business.
On the 12th, Lotte Rental announced the unveiling of its used car brand ‘T Car’ and the launch of an online advertising campaign.
The core values of the newly introduced Lotte Rental T Car brand are “Trust” (trustworthy used cars) and “Total Care” (comprehensive care for used cars). The company plans to enhance the trustworthiness of used car transactions and reinforce vehicle management services to offer a differentiated used car purchasing experience.
In December of last year, Lotte Rental launched a beta service for used cars on the Lotte Rent-a-Car website. Simultaneously, they opened sales centers in Gayang-dong and Bucheon in succession, completing preparations to supply a variety of used cars.
A distinguishing feature of Lotte Rental’s T Car is that only vehicles directly managed by Lotte Rent-a-Car are offered. It excludes short-term rental cars used by numerous customers, focusing on long-term rental cars used by corporate executives and managers.
Since the company purchases new cars directly and has them managed by vehicle maintenance experts every three months, Lotte Rent-a-Car explains that the vehicles come with transparent records of legal performance inspections, insurance history, and maintenance from the point of new car purchase.
The main vehicles for sale are 3-4-year-old Hyundai and Kia models, which are in high demand among consumers. For the first time in the industry, they offer a 6-month free warranty repair for major components such as engines, transmissions, and brakes.
Additionally, to allow customers to fully experience the vehicle before deciding to purchase, a 7-day return policy has been implemented. Even after purchase, the company provides a complimentary 1-year service of “Chabangjeong” (on-site vehicle maintenance service) and “Chabangjeong Plus Membership,” which includes a free engine oil change. The “Chabangjeong Plus Membership” offers a subscription service that provides various benefits worth 30,000 won monthly for a fee of 3,000 won per month, helping to save on essential vehicle-related costs such as fuel, car washes, and parking.
To commemorate the launch of the T Car brand, Lotte Rental has unveiled a new advertising campaign with the slogan “The Rise of Trust & Total Care in the Used Car Era.” They are introducing two commercial videos that convey the central philosophy of presenting a new standard in the used car market.
