Jung Ho-seok Appointed Head of Hotel Lotte: “Ensuring Hotel Sustainability Through Global Expansion”

Jung Ho-seok, the new CEO of Hotel Lotte, emphasized on the 6th the importance of expanding their hotel business globally to ensure sustainability. In his first message posted on the company’s internal bulletin board after his appointment, Jung stated, “I will create a progressive corporate culture that executes quickly and focuses on practical work.”

He outlined four key strategies to swiftly adapt to the changing environment and strengthen global competitiveness: enhancing fundamental competitiveness and improving management practices, innovating customer-centric services, increasing work efficiency through digital transformation, and achieving business expansion and sustainability by entering global markets.

CEO Jung also highlighted the principle that “what cannot be measured cannot be managed, and what cannot be managed cannot be improved,” promising to enhance efficiency through quantification of work. Additionally, he pledged to demonstrate leadership that involves actively communicating with employees to share concerns and find solutions, with the goal of creating a stable management environment and a company in which employees can take pride.

Jung has extensive experience in supporting strategic planning and managing risks at Lotte, having served as the Director of ESG Management Innovation and the Head of Business Support at Lotte Holdings. There is keen interest in the changes Jung, known for his leadership in communication and focus on efficiency through quantification, will bring to Lotte Hotel & Resort.
