[Exclusive] Hotel Lotte Implements Voluntary Retirement… First Time in Four Years Since 2020

**Overlap in Duties After Merger of Hotel and Resort Divisions**

Lotte Hotel & Resort, a division of Hotel Lotte, is implementing a voluntary retirement program. This marks the first time in four years that Lotte Hotel & Resort has offered such a program since the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.

According to industry sources on the 6th, Lotte Hotel & Resort plans to conduct personnel reassignment and a voluntary retirement program concurrently. This decision follows the integration of the hotel and resort divisions last year, which resulted in overlapping duties and roles within the organization.

The application period for the voluntary retirement program is expected to run throughout November. Eligible participants for this program include employees with at least 20 years of service, those aged 50 or older, or employees in the same position for an extended period.

Applicants will receive 32 months’ worth of base salary, re-employment support funds, and children’s tuition assistance. During the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, Hotel Lotte offered retirement packages to employees aged 58 and above.

Recently, Hotel Lotte has been working on personnel reductions and other efficiency measures.

In August, Lotte Duty Free, also under Hotel Lotte, implemented a voluntary retirement program as part of its emergency management strategies. Eligible employees were those aged 43 and above with a minimum of 10 years of service or those in the same position for a long time.
