On the 19th, after the arrest warrant was issued for President Yoon Suk-yeol, two more individuals, including a teenager, have been arrested for their involvement in the violent incident at the Seoul Western District Court.
The Seoul Western District Court issued an arrest warrant on the 25th for a teenage male, referred to as “A,” who is accused of attempting to set fire to the court (charges: attempted arson of an occupied structure, joint intrusion into a structure, and obstruction of justice with special circumstances). The court explained, “There is a concern about flight risk, and there are unavoidable reasons to detain him as a minor.”
It was reported that on the day of the disturbance, “A” threw burning paper toward a broken window of the court building. Additionally, the court also issued an arrest warrant for another male, “B,” who is charged with joint intrusion under the Act on the Punishment of Violent Crimes, citing flight risk concerns.
As of that day, the total number of arrests related to the violent incident at the Seoul Western District Court had increased to 61 individuals.
