Anyang University announced on the 7th that they received 2,364 applications for 204 spots for the 2025 academic year’s regular admission, recording a 11.59 to 1 competition ratio.
The university has experienced a continuous increase in competition ratios over the past four years: 6.13 to 1 in the 2022 academic year, 9.24 to 1 in 2023, 9.46 to 1 in 2024, and 11.59 to 1 in 2025.
The competition ratio for the general admissions focusing on the College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT) was 11.54 to 1. Most departments showed a competition ratio of over 10 to 1. Particularly, the newly established Liberal Arts major had the largest number of applicants while still recording a high competition ratio of 15.06 to 1.
The Practical and Performance-based track closed with a competition ratio of 11.91 to 1. The Performing Arts Department had the highest competition ratio of 45.17 to 1, with 271 applicants for six spots. The departments of Sports Science, Sports Industry and Physical Education, and Sports Liberal Arts also maintained a stable competition ratio of over 7 to 1 on average.
So-young Sung, the Director of Admissions, emphasized, “Thanks to the constant efforts of the faculty, Anyang University’s recognition and preference are rising every year.” She added, “We will prioritize the growth and development of our students to meet the expectations of those who choose our university.”
