The story of a neighbor in an apartment complex converting the shared hallway into a personal workout space has sparked outrage among netizens.
Recently, a post appeared on an online community forum about a neighbor who set up a personal gym in the hallway. The accompanying photos show the floor of the shared apartment space covered with wooden boards, on top of which various barbells, dumbbells, and a bench press are placed.
There is even a pull-up bar mounted on the wall.
The author of the post expressed surprise, asking, “Is such an act legally permissible?” Netizens have reacted by pointing out that “stacking items in an emergency escape route could be a violation of fire safety regulations,” and “unauthorized occupation of common areas is a violation of the Apartment Management Act.”
