Chairman Kim “Apologizes to Those who Felt Uncomfortable…Reflecting Deeply”

‘(Seoul=Yonhap News) By Shin Sun-mi and Lee Mi-ryeong = Kim Dong-hwan (41), the eldest son and owner of Chairman Kim Ho-yeon of Binggrae, has been indicted on charges of assaulting a police officer while intoxicated.’
‘According to the legal community on the 22nd, the Seoul Western District Prosecutor’s Office indicted Chairman Kim on the 14th on charges of obstructing official duties without detention.’
‘On the morning of June 17th, Chairman Kim is accused of assaulting police officers who arrived on the scene after receiving a report from residents about a disturbance caused by his intoxication at an apartment complex in Yongsan-gu, Seoul.’
‘Chairman Kim stated, “I apologize once again to those who have felt uncomfortable because of me” and said, “I am deeply reflecting on my actions.”‘
‘Chairman Kim joined Binggrae in 2014, was promoted to executive in January 2021, and became the chairman in March of this year.’
‘Binggrae was led by Chairman Kim Ho-yeon after it separated from the Hanhwa Group in 1998. When Chairman Kim’s eldest son was promoted in March of this year, it was evaluated that ‘third-generation management’ in the food industry had begun in earnest.’
