Director and actor Yang Ik-june has been accused of assaulting a junior and reported to the police.

The title reads, “Police official: ‘To be forwarded to prosecution.'” Director and actor Yang Ik-june is confirmed to have been accused of assaulting a junior colleague. On the 10th, the Seoul Seongbuk Police Station announced that they have booked Yang on charges of assault and are currently investigating the case.

According to the police, Yang is accused of hitting the head of junior film staff member, referred to as A, multiple times with a wad of paper and verbally abusing them at a bar he operates in Seongbuk-gu on December 13th of last year.

A police official stated, “The complaint was filed on December 30th last year,” and added, “The investigation is in its final stages, and it is expected to be forwarded to the prosecution today or tomorrow.”

Yang made his debut in 2009 with the feature film “Breathless,” where he served as director, screenwriter, and lead actor. He has since appeared in dramas such as “It’s Okay, That’s Love,” “Queen of Mystery,” “Bad Guys,” and the Netflix original series “Hellbound.”
