On the 3rd, the Seoul Hyehwa Police Station reported that a man in his 30s, identified as Mr. A, was booked on charges of drunk driving and causing death or injury by dangerous driving under the Act on the Aggravated Punishment of Specific Crimes.

According to the police, Mr. A drove onto the sidewalk from an intersection near Dongdaemun Station in Jongno-gu, Seoul, at around 10 p.m. the previous day while under the influence of alcohol, and allegedly hit the Japanese mother and daughter who were trying to cross the crosswalk.
