4-year-old child at taekwondo studio pleads for help while being held upside down… Shocking CCTV footage released

‘A four-year-old boy, referred to as A, died from abuse by director B at a Taekwondo studio in Yangju, Gyeonggi Province, in July. CCTV footage showing B’s abusive behavior has been released, causing shock.’

‘It was reported that right after the incident, B deleted the CCTV footage to destroy evidence.’

‘According to a report by JTBC on the 11th, B repeatedly hit A on the head and left him upside down in a rolled-up mat with a small opening.’

‘The released CCTV footage shows A struggling and shouting “Help me” as he was trapped in a hole approximately 20 cm wide, unable to breathe.’

‘A was left unattended for 27 minutes and was taken to the hospital in a coma but died of “hypoxic brain injury” 11 days after the incident. The family decided to discontinue life support, given the slim chances of recovery.’

‘Director B did not provide first aid after the incident and attempted to destroy evidence by deleting the CCTV footage. The investigation revealed that other children at the Taekwondo studio also suffered similar abuse from B.’

‘He defended himself by saying, “I put other kids in the mat numerous times as well,” claiming it was “just a joke.” He further argued that A did not die from abuse but from discontinuing life support, suggesting a legal battle with the family is expected.’
