U.S. Early Voting Hits Record High… Trump Says “I’ll Do It Too”

As the U.S. presidential election day approaches in two weeks, the number of early voters has already surpassed 26 million.

Donald Trump, the Republican presidential candidate and former president, who had previously expressed strong distrust in early voting, has announced that he will participate in early voting for this election.

Reuters reported, citing data from the University of Florida Election Project, that as of 8:45 PM Eastern Time, over 26.5 million people have voted early, marking the highest level ever.

The early voting rate is generally high in battleground states, with North Carolina and Georgia seeing a rapid increase in voters since early voting began last week.

As the early voting turnout marks record highs, Trump has also encouraged this process.

In a phone interview with Fox News Radio, when asked if he would vote early in Florida, Trump stated, “I will vote early and cast my vote early.”

Additionally, Trump expressed a desire to win in the Democratic stronghold of New York, claiming that the city has been overrun by immigrants.
