“U.S.: ‘3 Soldiers Killed, 5 Seriously Injured After Attack by Iran’; First Confirmation of Casualties”

According to reports, following a surprise attack by the United States and Israel on Iran, resulting in the deaths of several high-ranking Iranian officials, including Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the supreme leader of Iran, tensions have escalated significantly in the Middle East. In retaliation, Iran targeted U.S. military bases in the region.

As of March 1st, the U.S. military has officially confirmed that three American soldiers have died, and five have been seriously injured due to the ongoing conflict. Additionally, multiple soldiers have sustained minor injuries from shrapnel and concussions and are currently in the process of returning to duty.

This marks the first formal announcement of U.S. casualties resulting from the conflict with Iran, with military officials previously reporting no casualties the day before. As the hostilities continue, the Pentagon warns that the number of casualties may rise.

U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) has stated that major combat operations and response efforts are ongoing. They noted that the situation remains fluid and emphasized that details about the deceased soldiers’ identities would be released to the public only after notifying their families.

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has announced plans for “severe retaliatory measures,” claiming responsibility for attacks on 27 U.S. military bases in the Middle East, as well as various Israeli military headquarters and defense industrial sites. Reports of explosions and black smoke have been observed at several U.S. military locations across the region following these developments.
