Typhoon ‘SanSan’ lands in Japan… Special warning issued, Toyota suspends operations

“Typhoon ‘Jansan,’ the 10th typhoon of the season, has made landfall in Japan, causing tension across the country.

On the afternoon of the 28th, the Japan Meteorological Agency issued storm and high wave warnings for Kagoshima Prefecture in southwestern Japan and a tsunami warning for the Satsuma region.

An official from the agency expressed concerns about unprecedented storms and high waves in Kagoshima Prefecture, urging residents to evacuate to safe places.

The Japan Meteorological Agency expects Typhoon Jansan to maintain its very strong intensity as it crosses Japan.

As a result, Toyota, Nissan, and Honda have halted factory operations, and disruptions are occurring in air travel and Shinkansen services.
