How do you find Mudeng’s official song?
AP reported that the catchy number was created by a famous Thai composer. They added that Mudeng, which means “bouncy pig,” gained worldwide popularity just a month after being introduced on social media by a zoo in Chonburi province, Southern Thailand.
Thanks to Mudeng’s popularity, the zoo now attracts between 3,000 and 5,000 visitors daily.
A zoo official expressed hope that Mudeng’s popularity would raise awareness about endangered species like the pygmy hippo, threatened by poaching and habitat destruction.
Let’s hope that wish comes true.
