PCN signs MOU with Norma, a quantum computing service company.

Big data and AI specialist company PCN (CEO Song Kwang-heon) announced on the 21st that it had signed an MOU with quantum computing service security specialist company Norma Inc. (CEO Jung Hyun-cheol) at PCN’s headquarters in Nonhyeon-dong on the 18th.

Through this MOU, the two companies plan to pursue joint research and discussions to discover, diversify, and commercialize applications of quantum computing.

Quantum computers, which process and store data using the principles of quantum mechanics, have a much faster information processing speed, enabling them to perform complex calculations more efficiently than traditional computers.

In particular, quantum technology is recognized as a future game-changer, with the government setting a goal to become one of the ‘top four countries in quantum technology by 2030’. Consequently, the field is receiving significant attention.

Currently, global companies are leading the development of quantum technology and applying it scientifically across various fields, engaging in technological competition. However, the growth of quantum technology in Korea has remained in the early stages.

Norma has focused on quantum computer technology and established the first quantum computer production facility in Asia. As Asia’s leading quantum computer company, it provides full-stack quantum services, from Quantum H/W to Application Layer. Through quantum simulators, Q platforms, and Q AI, Norma offers innovative solutions in various fields, including Shor’s algorithm, quantum traffic management systems, quantum drug development, and quantum financial management.

PCN plans to support the industrialization of quantum computing and expand the quantum computing ecosystem in line with the rapid growth of the global quantum industry. Additionally, by integrating big data and AI technologies, PCN will seek ways to discover and promote application services that can bring significant changes in fields such as aerospace, advanced manufacturing, healthcare, defense, and urban planning.

Song Kwang-heon, CEO of PCN, stated, “We will make every effort to activate quantum computing technology. Through this agreement, we aim to contribute to the global achievements by advancing the field of quantum computing with the integration of big data and AI technologies.”
