Mango founder, with assets of 6.5 trillion won, dies after falling from 100-meter cliff.

On the 14th (local time), according to reports from CNN and other foreign media, Isaac Andic, the founder of the fashion brand Mango, passed away at the age of 71.

‘A titan of the global fashion company, with a net worth amounting to 6.5 trillion won, died after a fall while cave exploring.’

According to local police, Andic was hiking in the Salnitre’s Collbató caves near Barcelona, Spain, and fell into a gorge approximately 100 meters (320 feet) high. It is understood that family members, including his son, were with him at the time of the accident.

The police later recovered Andic’s body.

Isaac Andic was born in Istanbul, Turkey, in 1953 and moved to Spain with his family during his teenage years. He started in the clothing wholesale business before founding Mango in 1984.

Mango is one of Europe’s leading fashion groups, achieving sales of $3.2 billion (about 4.5958 trillion won) last year. Currently, Mango operates around 3000 stores across over 120 countries.

According to Forbes, Andic’s net worth is $4.5 billion, approximately 6.4629 trillion won. At the time of the accident, he was serving as Mango’s non-executive chairman.

Pedro Sánchez, the Prime Minister of Spain, expressed his condolences on X (formerly Twitter) by saying, “I express deep admiration and affection for Andic’s great achievements and business vision, which made the Spanish brand a global standard in the fashion industry.”
