According to reports by the New York Times, CNN, and other American media outlets on the 6th (local time), Ye stated in a podcast interview posted the day before that a previous diagnosis of bipolar disorder was a misdiagnosis and that he had been diagnosed with autism by a doctor who also counseled singer Justin Bieber.
He claimed, “As seen in the movie ‘Rain Man,’ autism makes people more obsessed with things they are told not to do.”
