Iran claims to have hit the USS Lincoln aircraft carrier with four ballistic missiles; US military refutes the claim.

The United States military refuted Iran’s claim that the USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier was hit. On March 1, local time, Iran reportedly fired four ballistic missiles at the U.S. Navy’s Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier, which was operating in the Gulf of Oman. Iran also launched missile and drone attacks on Middle Eastern countries with U.S. bases, such as Israel and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced that the proud Iranian forces attacked American and Zionist (Israeli) enemies, claiming the Abraham Lincoln was hit by the missiles. The IRGC emphasized that they targeted the enemy’s exhausted military forces with strong attacks, predicting that land and sea would become graves for the invading terrorists.

The U.S. military denied Iran’s claims. U.S. Central Command, overseeing operations in the Middle East, stated in a declaration that the carrier was not hit and the missiles did not come close. It added that the Abraham Lincoln continues to support Central Command operations by dispatching aircraft.

Additionally, retaliatory attacks on countries in the Middle East with U.S. military bases continued. In Beit Shemesh, near Jerusalem in central Israel, at least eight people were killed, and 28 were injured due to Iran’s missile attack, according to Israel’s emergency medical service, Magen David Adom. Among the injured were two individuals in critical condition, including a 10-year-old girl. Video footage showing flames and smoke rising from residential buildings in the city was released.

In the UAE’s capital, Abu Dhabi, drone attacks by Iran caused damage to a building housing the Israeli embassy and other diplomatic offices. In Dubai, drone debris hit the exterior of the Burj Al Arab, a seven-star hotel, causing a fire, and part of Dubai International Airport’s transit area was damaged.

The UAE’s Ministry of Defense stated that Iran had launched 165 ballistic missiles, 541 drones, and two cruise missiles toward the UAE since the day before, most of which were intercepted. However, ground-level damage led to the deaths of three foreign nationals from Pakistan, Nepal, and Bangladesh, with 58 injuries reported.

In Bahrain’s capital, Manama, a drone collided with a skyscraper, causing a fire. In Kuwait, Iran’s attack resulted in one death and 32 injuries, as announced by Kuwait’s Ministry of Health.
