The Personal Information Protection Commission has reportedly sent an official inquiry to DeepSeek regarding the overall handling of personal information by the Chinese AI model.
On the 31st of last month, the commission sent an official inquiry letter to DeepSeek’s headquarters in China to confirm the items and procedures for personal information collection as well as the methods of processing and storage.
The inquiry letter also included questions about how personal information is utilized in AI learning processes, and a response was requested within this month.
