DHL suspends delivery of goods over $800 to the United States temporarily.

Due to the aftermath of the US-China tariff war, US customs inspections have become more stringent, leading international express delivery company DHL to temporarily suspend shipments of goods over $800 to the United States.

According to reports by the BBC and Reuters on the 20th local time, the proportion of goods entering the US that are subject to formal customs procedures has increased, resulting in delivery delays and other issues, prompting DHL to make this decision.

Previously, items worth up to $2,500 could be sent to the US with simple documentation. However, since the implementation of the Trump administration’s new tariff policy, customs inspections have been strengthened, and the value threshold has been lowered to $800 as of the 5th.
