“Biological males, get out of women’s sports” … Trump to ban transgender participation

A soldier facing deportation has filed an injunction against an executive order. On February 3rd (local time), protests were held in New York against President Donald Trump’s executive order limiting transgender rights. Trump, who has a strong aversion to political correctness (PC), is preparing to ban transgender women from participating in women’s sports events. According to the Wall Street Journal (WSJ) on the 4th, a White House official revealed that President Trump would sign an executive order titled “Excluding Males from Women’s Sports.”

Republican Congresswoman Nancy Mace stated in a press release that she would be present when President Trump announced the executive order, emphasizing that it would “restore fairness and protect the rights of female athletes who have dedicated their lives to competing at the highest levels.” The WSJ reported that once enacted, this executive order is expected to have an immediate impact on all educational institutions receiving federal funds, including nearly all universities and most primary and secondary schools in the United States.

On his first day in office on January 20th, President Trump signed his first executive order mandating the federal government to officially recognize only “women” and “men” as genders. On the 27th of the same month, he announced an executive order banning transgender individuals from serving in the military. The U.S. State Department has started implementing these executive orders by removing the “X” gender option from passport applications, among other actions.

There has been backlash against President Trump’s transgender policies. Reuters reported that soldiers facing deportation have filed an emergency injunction to halt the enforcement of his executive orders.
